About us

Duo UK manufacture, distribute and consult on packaging product. Specialising in polythene packaging made in Manchester. Duo were the first UK manufacturer to produce a mailing bag using GreenPE, a biobased sustainable material derived from sugarcane. Sustainability is at the heart of the business and this dedication has seen the use of recycled and bio-base materials equate to 75% of the material used. Duo were also awarded the Queens Award for Enterpise: Innvoation in 2020 for its patented product DuoOptipac mailing bag which increases productivity and reduces costs for retailers.

How we will be involved with National Manufacturing Day:

We invite people in the local community to come and see what a career in manufacturing is all about. On the day you will be given a tour of the manufacturing facility to see what it takes to produce quality, innovative and resourceful packaging product. We will host workshop teaching students the "value of packaging" helping them to learn about sustainability, resourcefulness and the circular economy. Following the session there will be a tour of the manufacturing facility.
